Founder/Lead Facilitator

Valerie has more than 25 years of experience working with individuals, teams and organisations from different sectors to drive performance. She specialises in instructional design and facilitation of service excellence training, leadership development, performance management and train-the-trainer programs.

Valerie has been working with the healthcare sector to upskill their service standards and create unique patient experience. With her experience in working with the local hospital and running her own training establishment, she is able to provide practical leadership and managerial training solutions for leaders who are growing their healthcare business. In addition, she is a certified management consultant leading enterprises in various industries to develop their human capital development strategies.

Valerie is effectively bilingual, and she has extensive regional exposure in Singapore, Malaysia and China. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and Human Development from the George Washington University, a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Singapore Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Social Work from NUS. She is appointed as the SkillsFuture Mentor by Enterprise Singapore and an accredited ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment) facilitator with Institute for Adult Learning, a division of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).

Valerie is certified to administer psychometric assessments for individuals and teams such as Big Five, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Six Seconds Emotional intelligence, DISC Personality Profiling, Gallup’s StrengthsFinder and Lominger Voices 360 Feedback.

Valerie has more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, teams and organizations from different sectors such as Healthcare, Banking & Finance, Professional Services, Logistics and Manufacturing to drive performance. She specializes in instructional design and facilitation of performance management, leadership development, service excellence and train-the-trainer programs.

Valerie worked in a regional bank for more than 10 years focusing on recruiting and building talent pipeline. As a Vice President of the bank, she led a team to design and deliver training programs to bridge the competency gaps. She was heading a regional team in a Fortune 100 company, also ranked among the World’s Most Admired Companies, and overseeing the implementation of leadership and talent development programs. She coached leaders to set up their inhouse Learning & Development function and delivered customized workshops for key positions.

Lead Facilitator

James Lee has been a tertiary educator for about 25 years. He held the positions of Senior Lecturer and Academic Mentor in the Singapore Polytechnic Design School, and had trained participants from the fields of design, engineering and business in the application of design thinking. He was part of the team to develop the Design Thinking model for Singapore Polytechnic. He also led the design research unit in the Design School.

James developed the Abilities Inventory Model based on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences to help participants assess their career preferences. This model was shared at the Design Management Institute International Conference in France. 

James was involved in the Innovation Programme by MOE to help students to develop innovative and creative ideas.

Prior to joining the education institution, James was contract furniture division director in Nobel Design Holding Ltd and had led a team of professionals to open new markets for the group.

James holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from NUS and a Master’s Degree in Design from UNSW.

Lead Facilitator

Kim has a diversified work experience having worked in various organisations ranging from audit firms, FMCGs,  consulting firms, manufacturers, medical, financial industries with over 20 years of work experience.

He started his career in an accounting firm and then took on other roles. For instance, he has project lead Mesdaq listing exercise, ERP projects, process improvement initiatives (Kaizen) in many organizations. He has acted as change management consultant for an ERP project in a listed shipping company. He has also taken on the role of Executive Assistant to CEO in few organizations, acting on behalf of the CEO in special project initiatives, strategic implementations and leading in operational matters. 8 years ago, while being the Head of Human Resources in an FMCG firm, he found his passion in people development.

Since then, he has trained more than 7,000+ leaders 
with results. His participants range from Senior Management to young executives, Baby Boomers to young GenYs. He relates well with all generations.
